This stunning double-storey home has been tailored to entertaining. Designed by The Design Mill and constructed by Viva Developments, the home captures the coastal ambience the clients desired. Located by the beach, the home boasts beautiful views to the ocean and has been constructed from materials that not only reflect the colours of the landscape, but which can withstand the corrosive elements of a seaside locale.

Upon entering the home, your eyes are drawn to the travertine feature wall, which begins on the ground floor and finishes at the top of the staircase void. Grey glass walls and louvre windows on both floors offer fantastic views to the ocean and luxurious concrete pool, while also inviting a relaxing sea breeze that cools the home in summer.

A combination of travertine cladding and pre-finished cedar lining give the home imposing and impressive street appeal, which is made all the more striking by the use of a combination of roof tiles and Colorbond roofing, as well as custom gutters. Brick and stainless steel have also been used throughout the home to excellent effect. To achieve the views the clients required, the height of the ground floor was raised, enabling the finished floor height of the first floor to be as high as possible. All the living areas located upstairs – the kitchen, meals area, family area, balcony and main bedroom – capture the picturesque vistas.
